Frontier isn’t just a name—it’s a declaration. Born from the legacy of Dialight’s trusted traffic signal designs and reimagined by LEOTEK’s innovation-driven R&D and product management teams, Frontier stands as a symbol of reliability, evolution, and regional adaptation.

Marks shown are common to the linked voltage variants. See the specification sheets for configuration-specific qualifications.
The IL6-P3 LED traffic signal arrow family serves standard red, yellow and green directional indications. The published options differ by cabinet power and size: 12-inch models at 80–135 Vac, 8-inch and 12-inch models at 10–28 Vdc, and 12-inch models at 36–60 Vdc for compatible 48 V cabinets.
The 2023 AC sheet lists Intertek ETL-verified 12-inch models. The low-voltage sheets do not establish the same ETL listing. Check the exact size, voltage suffix, indication color and approval evidence in the matching Resources document before specifying.
Application & design reference
An arrow module supplies an indication; the complete face and control system deliver the operating sequence. Identify the intended left-turn mode before comparing colors, model numbers or replacement parts.

Figure 4F-2 shows the separate left-turn face in relation to the adjacent through faces, along with typical arrangements for permissive-only operation. Read it with Section 4F.04. The relationship between faces is part of the application, rather than a product mounting detail.
A photograph of an illuminated yellow arrow does not establish whether it is steady or flashing, which intervals precede or follow it, or whether the installation is operating in the intended mode. Retain the approved sequence and face arrangement alongside the selected module information.

Figure 4F-7 covers a different operating context. Its legend and asterisked restrictions identify indications that are not displayed in particular modes. Keep those notes with the figure when comparing the arrangements.
Section 4F.08 describes the indications and transitions for the protected/permissive application. A yellow-arrow product listing does not, by itself, establish support for every illustrated sequence. Verify the exact module application, complete face, controller configuration and required compatibility evidence.
The module is one component. The required display behavior also depends on the complete face, controller, wiring and compatible operating configuration. Confirm suitability for the particular application with the project team and the model-specific documentation.
They illustrate typical positions and arrangements in the MUTCD. Use the complete cited sections, the agency-approved design and the equipment instructions for the actual installation.
Application & design reference
The lane, complete face and operating mode determine which message an arrow must communicate. Use the approved design, then verify the exact module and control interfaces.

Figure 4F-9 shows a flashing-yellow-arrow arrangement for permissive-only right turns. Section 4F.11 requires a mandatory right-turn lane for a separate face and does not permit a circular green indication in that face during the mode.
Keep the steady/flashing legend and red-indication note with the arrangement. Where a circular red can be seen by through drivers while their faces are not red, the stated sign or visibility-limitation provision matters.
The drawing does not establish that every yellow-arrow module supports the illustrated functions. Verify the exact model, input, functions and compatibility for the project.

Figure 4F-14 distinguishes protected green-arrow and permissive flashing-yellow-arrow displays. Its asterisks identify indications suppressed in particular modes. Preserve those qualifications when comparing configurations.
A steady photograph cannot verify flashing behavior or the transition between modes. The submittal should identify the complete face, controller configuration, pedestrian and vehicle conflicts, and required compatibility evidence.
Read the complete right-turn guide with four MUTCD arrangements.
The module is one component. Verify the required functions, complete face, controller, wiring and compatibility. A model listing or a matching opening does not establish the entire operating sequence.
The separate-face provisions require a mandatory right-turn lane. Combined lanes have their own restrictions under Section 4F.09; do not transfer a separate-lane arrangement without the design review.
No. Identify the particular steady, flashing and color functions required. Obtain documentation for the proposed configuration and its electrical/control interface.
No. They are original MUTCD application figures. Use the approved project design and the exact equipment documentation for installation, operation and acceptance.
