DIL is the 16 × 18-inch side-by-side pedestrian face with a Lunar White walking person and Portland Orange hand. The sheet identifies TSL-PED-16-DIL as an incandescent-look full-symbol module. It serves a different face arrangement from HM overlap and SPC combined countdown. Choose the approved indication layout and compatible housing before comparing power or warranty.

DIL places the hand and person side by side in the larger face; HM places them in an overlapping 12 × 12-inch format, with a separate Canadian round option. These are distinct mechanical and optical configurations. A conversion from one to the other must match the approved signal arrangement and housing—it is not justified by their shared hand/person colors or AC supply alone.

No. The DIL model table lists the hand and walking-person indications, not countdown digits. Use a separately specified CD countdown module or evaluate an SPC combined face when the project requires countdown. The selected arrangement must fit the housing and signal plan; the availability of another LEOTEK countdown family does not add countdown to a DIL order.

DIL’s sheet specifies 80–135Vac and lists 6W for the person and 7W for the hand. Power factor is above 0.90, THD below 20%, response under 75ms and turn-off voltage above 35Vac. Use the actual indication sequence for energy calculations instead of assuming both symbols remain energized continuously. DC variants from SPC or IL6-P3 should not be applied to the DIL model table.

DIL Series 16” x 18” Pedestrian Signal Spec Sheet
The DIL sheet describes a one-piece housing, complete O-ring sealing, a hard-coated UV-stabilized polycarbonate lens and multiple independent power supplies. Published operation is −40°C to +74°C. These product features support a retrofit assessment but do not make every existing signal housing correctly sealed or compatible. Check mounting, clearance and termination against the installation document.

Use the actual cabinet to verify commanded hand/person states, flashing/steady operation as required, off-state behavior and monitoring. Retain the order code, termination and tested cabinet configuration. DIL’s independent supplies and published switching response are design characteristics, not a blanket result for every load switch or controller. A face that illuminates in a bench test has not completed intersection acceptance.

DIL supplies visual WALK/DON’T WALK symbols; it does not document a complete audible, vibrotactile or pushbutton accessibility system. Specify those crossing functions and their interaction with the controller separately. Keep the visual-face choice, complete accessibility design and agency acceptance as linked project decisions, rather than describing the DIL module alone as the entire accessible pedestrian signal.

The DIL sheet lists a five-year limited warranty and 70% initial intensity at 100,000 operating hours; the latter is not a full-system warranty term. Specify TSL-PED-16-DIL, face arrangement, AC rating, termination and housing fit, with the applicable installation and approval documents. Keep the exact installed code in spare inventory so an overlapping HM or countdown SPC face is not substituted solely because it serves pedestrians.

Plan side-by-side pedestrian indications around the required signal format, housing interface and controller operation. Use the model-specific documents to define the complete replacement configuration.
The cataloged DIL module uses hand and person indications side by side in a 16 × 18-inch format. Confirm the exact electrical and ordering configuration required for the project.
Measure housing clearance, mounting and retention hardware, wiring and sealing details. Review the proposed module together with the cabinet, controller and existing pedestrian display arrangement.
Use the agency acceptance procedure to verify the WALK and hand sequence and any required special conditions. Confirm the approved display orientation and record the installed configuration.
Create a schedule of exact model numbers and required indications, electrical variants, quantities and spare units. Obtain current specifications, installation instructions, applicable approval documentation and written warranty terms. Record the installed configurations so maintenance teams can select the correct replacement.
